CNY 年初六 & 七

Selca with boyfie while waiting for the lecturer on that day

Went to meet up with my big family members after class & had our big family lunch

@ Yun Lai Huat Dim Sum, Bandar Damai Perdana.

Pei dan jook (Porridge with century egg)

Loh Mai Kai( Steamed glutinous rice with chicken & mushroom)

Char Siew Pau

Steam Oyster with cheese

Wantan mee with roasted duck

Dimsum

Hmmmm ... not able to capture all the food one by one as there are about ten people

waiting for the food, so I just capture those which are near to my area.

It's CNY 年初七, we will be having a big family together at my place with

my grandparents, uncle, aunts, cousin, boyfie and his sis as well.

Some random selca with boyfie. I found out one quote at twitter stated that
"You know someone means a lot to you when their mood can easily affect yours ♥"

It's really true actually! HAHA!

Meaning of the ingredients

When putting the yee sang on the table offers New Year greetings.

恭喜发财 (Gong Xi Fa Cai) means “Congratulations for your wealth” &

万事如意 (Wan Shi Ru Yi) means “May all your wishes be fulfilled”

The raw fish (sashimi) symbolising abundance and excess through the year.

年年有余 (Nian Nian You Yu) meaning “Abundance through the year”,

as the word "fish" in Mandarin also sounds like "Abundance".

The pomelo or lime is added to the fish, adding luck and auspicious value.

大吉大利 (Da Ji Da Li) meaning “Good luck and smooth sailing”

Pepper is then dashed over in the hope of attracting more money and valuables.

招财进宝 (Zhao Cai Jin Bao) meaning “Attract wealth and treasures”

Then oil is poured out, circling the ingredients and encouraging money to flow in from all directions. 一本万利 (Yi Ben Wan Li) meaning “Make 10,000 times of profit with your capital”

财源广进 (Cai Yuan Guang Jin) meaning “Numerous sources of wealth”

Carrots are added indicating blessings of good luck.

鸿运当头 (Hong Yun Dang Tou) meaning “Good luck is approaching”.

Carrot (红萝卜) is used as the first character 鸿 also sound like the Chinese character for red.

Then the shredded green radish is placed symbolising eternal youth.

青春常驻 (Qing Chun Chang )Zhu meaning “Forever young”.

Green radish is used as the first character 青 also sound like the Chinese character for green.

After which the shredded white radish is added - prosperity in business and promotion at work.

风生水起 (Feng Sheng Shui Qi) meaning “Progress at a fast pace”

步步高升 (Bu Bu Gao Sheng) meaning “Reaching higher level with each step”

The condiments are finally added.

First, peanut crumbs are dusted on the dish, symbolizing a household filled with gold and silver.

金银满屋 (Jin Yin Man Wu) meaning “Household filled with gold and silver”

Sesame seeds quickly follow symbolising a flourishing business.

生意兴隆 (Sheng Yi Xing Long) meaning “Prosperity for the business”

Deep-fried flour crisps in the shape of golden pillows is then added with wishes that literally the whole floor would be filled with gold. 满地黄金 (Man Di Huang Jin) meaning “Floor full of gold”

All dinner are prepared by my beloved mummy!

Well, actually I was not so happy during the dinner moment as I love to snap nice things but during that moment I was just too busy to help mummy preparing for dinner.

So, I couldn't even take even a nice shot of each dish.

What a waste of that ...... those dishes was so nice...... Duhhhhhhhh .. =/

It's time for them to go back home. Buh-Byeeee!

The last selca before heading to bath. This is my look to show that I'm so soooo unhappy that I couldn't capture any nice food photos. Hmpphhhhh!
Can't somebody help me to do so instead of me, myself alone???????

CNY 年初三

Okay! Vday is around the corner, more two days! So I gotta get everything prepared by tonight due to tomorrow is me & boyfie's 16th monthsary, so there's not much time left for me anymore.

So I decided to go to Jusco & find a vday card for him.

It was too last minute though but my inspiration comes during the last minute.

Iridori Gozen

That night I was a mad on how the waiter serve me, at first I ordered 2 sets of Iridori Gozen.

One set has already arrived and I called my bro to eat first cuz he was hungry. So, I'm just waiting for mine to be served.

We arrived at 7.15pm & I've waited for 45 minutes for my set. It is too ridiculous to wait for so freaking long and this leads me to ask on where is my set? And the other waiter told me that the order stated ONE set only. I was like so WTH ..... I've spoke to the waiter that I want TWO SETS but I just dont know why he noted down as ONE.

Izit he was day dreaming during taking orders or what??

Then they told me that they will make it asap & place an additional order. And I'm still waiting when the time is 8.30pm I was so unbearable & called one of the waiter to whether my set has done or not? and the waiter replied me that "the set haven't cook/prepared yet"

WHAT THE HELLLLL ..

I waited for more than an hour, this is the kind of services they provides me?

So inefficient with all this new workersss... Duhhhh ..What to do? I just said I would like to cancel the order since it's been already an hourrrrrrr of waiting!

Well, after bill I went to hunt for the vday's card. After done, I went to take away the Shilin Taiwan's XXL Crispy Chicken and went back home.
